About 2021 Training

Training with the real-world challenges in mind for insurance adjusters.

2021 Training was founded with one purpose in mind: to train new insurance adjusters in a way that would prepare them for the real-world challenges they would face, in a convenient online format. We wanted to make our courses accessible to everyone, regardless of their time or budget constraints. We offer classes for both Texas and Florida, equipping our students with the foundation for success.

Our founder, Dave, has been training insurance adjusters since 2008. Back then, online learning was still in its infancy, and there were no good options for those who wanted to obtain their insurance adjuster license online. To solve this problem, our founder decided to develop a new curriculum that brought real-world experience into the mix. 2021 Training was born.

Why We Started the Company

About Our Instructors

Our founder, Dave, is also our primary instructor. He teaches every course except for the two ethics courses. Dave enjoys teaching new students, and feels it is important to maintain consistency throughout the learning process. That’s why students keep their same course instructor from beginning to end.

Dave started his career as an adjuster responding to Hurricane Sandy in 2012.  Since then, he has gone on multiple deployments and gained valuable experience that he shares with the students through his courses. He is highly regarded by both his former students and insurance adjusting firms.

Our instructors use humor, true stories, word pictures, slide shows, and other tools as they share tips and practical information to make your training more vivid and lively. You’ll be able to apply their lessons to make your work easier, more efficient, and more profitable. With our training, you can be confident from your very first field job.

About Our Insurance Adjusting Courses

Texas All-Lines Pre-Licensing Course

In order to get your license, you need to take the All-Lines Pre-Licensing Course. It is a 40-hour class as dictated by the state, consisting of 32 hours of online content and 8 hours of self-study homework. We have seen students complete the course in one long weekend. This is entirely possible to do, since it is modeled after a 3-day live class.

Texas Smart Start Package

The more training you receive, the more you will succeed in the adjusting world. That’s why we offer more courses to get you equipped for whatever comes your way. You can save some money if you bundle up some of our courses. One of our popular packages is called the Texas Smart Start package.
It is modeled after a 7-day live class consisting of the pre-licensing class (3 days), an Xactimate class (3 days), and a practical adjusting class (1 day). Many students take much longer than 7 days to complete these, but that only means they are using the online training for its intended purpose: to fit into their already busy schedules. Students have up to 90 days to complete their course, but we are always willing to extend this deadline whenever possible.

Texas Smart Start Plus Package

This package is very similar to the one above, except we include an additional course in the bundle: Basics of Construction. If you don’t have any prior experience in construction, we highly recommend taking this course, since many adjusting cases will require this knowledge.

Additional Courses

You can always purchase our courses individually, if you change your mind in the future, or can’t afford the bundle price upfront. We also offer other courses not included in the bundles, such as the Texas P&C Adjuster License course, Symbility Training, and California Fair Claims. Give us a call to learn more about these courses or about our other options!

The Licensing Exam

After your coursework is done, we administer the licensing exam that has been approved by the Texas Department of Insurance. With your certificate of completion, you will have everything you need from us to apply for your license through the State of Texas.

CE Courses

All licensed insurance adjusters in Texas are required to complete 24 hours of continuing education every two years to keep their license up to date. We’ve got you covered with over ten courses to choose from. Our CE courses fully satisfy this requirement, and we report your completion to the state within two business days.

2021 Training Brings the Learning to You
