Once you have your license, you may get most other state licenses through reciprocity. This means that you’ll be able to submit license applications without going through additional classes or testing.

**This is not for a Public Adjusters License and will not allow you to work as a Public Adjuster in ANY state.**

NOTE: The Texas Adjuster Pre-Licensing course is only for those people who either claim residency in Texas or one of the 16 non-licensing states. Please call us if you need clarification.

Why a Texas All-Lines Adjuster License Might be Right for You

What is an All-Lines License?

An All-Lines Adjuster License allows you to handle any line of Insurance coverage. These lines of coverage include catastrophe, property and casualty insurance. This license is a good choice for independent adjusters because it makes you more valuable to insurance companies. You can investigate residential, commercial, auto, farm and ranch, inland marine, ocean marine, and workers’ compensation claims. This can save the agency a lot of time and money because they won’t have to hire more employees.

Once you have an all-lines adjuster license you can choose which fields you want to work in, but you won’t be restricted to them. You can switch your focus later if your circumstances change. Many newcomers want to pursue disaster adjusting for the excitement and high paychecks. However, if you get tired of traveling a lot and you’re looking for something more stable, you can focus your energy on home and auto claims.

Why You Should Get a Texas All-Lines Adjuster License

It’s easy to obtain this license. There are just a few steps to secure it:

  • You must be a U.S. citizen.
  • You must be 18 or older.
  • Complete our TDI-approved course.
  • Submit your fingerprint for a background check.
  • Apply for your license through your state and pay the fee.

The all-lines adjuster license is reciprocal with several other states. Reciprocity is an agreement between states that allows adjusters to work over state lines without taking a pre-licensing course or licensure exam. This allows you access to more jobs and saves you money. However, some states require adjusters to pay a fee to obtain a license there and each state has the right to deny an individual licensure.

The Texas All-Lines Adjuster License is highly sought after because it’s recognized in 32 other states. This allows independent adjusters a lot more freedom to pursue catastrophe claims, which yield the highest salaries.

The Texas Department of Insurance also allows residents of states without licensure departments to declare Texas as their resident state. However, if your state does offer insurance adjuster licensing you must obtain your home state license before applying for a Texas non-resident license.
