Dempsey Fire Blazes in Palo Pinto County, Texas

An estimated 11,598-acre wildfire has been blazing its path through Palo Pinto County south of Graford. The fire began Thursday, June 23, 2022, around early afternoon. Local firefighters, as well as the Texas A&M Forest Service, continue to suppress the fire. This is just one of the many recent wildfires that have occurred this year. There have been close to 400 fires so far, with the largest fire being the Eastland Complex Fire.
