Insurance adjusting is a satisfying and stable job. It’s obvious why you would want to renew your license and continue your career. Like many other careers, rules, regulations, and standards are always changing. In order to stay on top of it all, you are required by the state of Texas to renew your license every few years. If you live in Dallas, Texas, then you don’t need to look any further. 2021 Training offers comprehensive continuing education courses. These classes will fulfill some of your renewal requirements. You can take them anywhere you are, at your desirable pace.
Continuing Education Credits
In order to keep your license in good standing, you must take 24 hours of continuing education courses every two years in Texas. Two of those hours must be in ethics/consumer protection. At least 12 of those hours must be “classroom” or “classroom equivalent” courses. But if you have a non-resident license, you are not required to take continuing education courses in Texas.
You must be strategic about when you complete the courses. There will be a $50 fine for every hour that isn’t completed on time. You can face up to $500 per license. You won’t be able to renew your license until you have completed all your courses and paid off any fines.
2021 Training recommends completing your continuing education courses 30 days before your license expires. That way, there won’t be any delay in renewing your license. The insurance license renewal is $50 (apart from the courses) and the late fee is $25.
If Your License Has Expired
If your insurance license has expired for less than 90 days, you will pay $50 for every hour that you are lacking. Once they are all completed, you can file a renewal and pay a fine equal to ½ of the application fee. You will still keep your original license.
However, if it has been more than 90 days, you will have to re-apply for a new insurance adjuster license. You will have to pay another fee and for the background check again.
If your license has expired for over a year, you will be starting from point A again. You will need to take pre-licensing courses with the exam. Luckily, you should already know the material, so you should be able to go through the classes easily and efficiently.

The course is very informative. They kept it interesting, even with very boring subject matter at times. More than prepares you for the state exam. Lots of tips and advice on the business. Respond to questions promptly and with answers you need. Will be taking CE courses from 2021 in the future. Great overall experience!
